Exquisite wooden urns for business – Pleiades*
We believe that making cremation urns is an honour and a noble service, certainly worth the effort it takes, but to deliver a truly exquisite, handcrafted wooden urn is indeed an art, and a good challenge too. Unique, artisan design, sourcing quality raw material, ensuring that it meets production requirements (e.g. humidity level), preparing it for production, finally crafting it and finishing it by hand is a demanding process, that can prove difficult or costly to speed up. This is the case especially with new models.
To be able to meet higher demand reliably and faster, we selected the designs that we are most proud of for continued delivery – we refer to them as Pleiades. It’s important to understand that this doesn’t imply mass production. Each wooden urn is handcrafted (from wood pieces also carefully picked by hand) to drive an excellent and captivating outcome. Types of wood, finish and colours will all vary from one urn to another, and it is only the urn’s shape that we try to replicate as best we can.
Working on fewer forms a day supports focus and productivity, allowing us to continue perfecting the design and the techniques we use, which results in streamlined production and reliable product availability.

The very name Pleiades likely comes from plein (πλεῖν) – ‘to sail’ in Greek. As you can see, it proved too difficult to resist the remarkable connotations in this instance.

All Luxi urns come without any branding (out of respect) and with the below features.
The only exception are keepsake urns, which are too small for a threaded lid.
