- In Greco-Roman mythology, Aurora (or Eos) was the personification of the dawn, a sister to both the sun god and a moon goddess. As dusk typically refers to the state between light and darkness, to twilight, this seemed apt for a gently curved shape and the still bright colour of the wood.
